CALLA

A departure from the work I'm best known for, reportage, and instead, the third in a series of flower studies that I'm working on, all made in black and white.

It is also my offering for Valentine's Day - a Calla Lily without colour or scent, just the sensual contours that emphasize its name, Calla - Greek for "beautiful".

The symbolism for the Lily on the other hand - well, I've heard that it covers everything from motherhood, eroticism all the way through to chastity and innocence.  I think I'll leave you to decide what works best.
