THE DUMMY

I think it was George Bernard Shaw who coined the phrase about England and America as “two countries divided by a common language”.  Whilst working on a photo-essay on health care in America I came across this FOC (Father of the Child, I learnt was the correct terminology).  It rather surprised me seeing him with what I now know to be a ‘pacifier’ in his mouth.  A lesson I learnt very quickly when I asked him why he had the ‘dummy’.
