LIGHTING THE MENORAH

Hanukah, the story of lights and freedom.  This photograph was made in 1985 at the Russian, Jewish Chabad Center in Los Angeles.  As Refuseniks, it was not always possible to openly light a menorah in Russia so, probably, for the first time, the granddaughter watched in awe of the candles being lit by her bubby as she listened to the story of Hanukah.
