FRENCH CONNECTION UK
As a reportage photographer (more commonly called in America a ‘street photographer’) I am constantly looking for what the Granddaddy of reportage photography, Henri Cartier-Bresson, would call the decisive moment. This is when all the elements - subject, composition, story, light - fall into place. There is also, to a degree, a need for good fortune as in this image shot outside the new French Connection UK along the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica.
