The Emes Bus

One of my favourite images, it evokes so many emotions in me.  Made for my photo-essay From Generation to Generation, orthodox Jewish communities in America, it was captured in Williamsburg, New York.  The young boy’s face, that haunting look of the unknown even in familiar surroundings and the ghostly images reflected through the other windows of the school bus capture so many stories in the history of the Jews.
